Let me tell you a little about myself...
My husband Mark and I were married in the Alumni Chapel at MSU in August of 1981. We lived in married housing while we both finished our degrees in mathematics. We have five great kids who bring us much joy!
We love to travel, camp, hike, and enjoy the outdoors. We have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, to the top of Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, and many places in between. We also enjoy walking the beach, especially along Lake Michigan and the Pacific Northwest.
My husband and I recently chaperoned a service trip to Detroit, where we helped out in community gardens and collected over 2700 illegally dumped tires in a three-day sweep of the city. It made us aware of the many generous people who love Detroit, and are working to improve it.
When I am not teaching, studying, or keeping up with my family, I enjoy quilting, yoga, and walking.
